The whole month of February is dedicated to remembering and celebrating the achievements of African Americans via a broad range of events and activities.

This month is known as African American History Month. At this time of year, members of the African American community are recognised and honoured for the challenges they have surmounted and the victories they have earned.

In order to commemorate the struggles, triumphs, and overall achievements of African Americans over the course of history, the month of February has been designated as “Black History Month.” Not only do the events that take place during this month bring to our attention the accomplishments that black men and women have made throughout history, but they also bring to our attention the sacrifices that black men and women have made at different moments in time.
